Michaela farren
Michaela began dancing age 3, and loved performing in many shows and musicals, both amateur and professional. she completed a degree in dance before beginning her teaching career at tyne theatre stage school in 1989, under then principal Barbara Biesterfield. Michaela also became a member of the idta, with the ability to enter pupils for exams in all subjects.
with the school going from strength to strength Michaela took over the role of principal in 2005, introducing many new elements including musical theatre, cheerleading, acro, Our scholar program, for students wishing to develop into professional performers, along with our bi-annual musical.
she loves to see the progression in students and believes that with hard work and a love of performing anything can be achieved.
Katie trained at Tyne Theatre Stage School from age 11 before going on to complete an HND in Musical Theatre and BA Hons in Acting. Katie teaches ACTING AND Musical Theatre at TTSS, SHE HAS CREATED MANY FANTASTIC ROUTINES OVER THE YEARS, INCLUDING COACHING students TO BE MUSICAL THEATRE National Champions for Talentfest Uk for two consecutive years and also TRAINING students tOWARDS LAMDA Acting exams.

Helen west
Helen trained in Dance & Musical Theatre at Phil Winston’s Theatreworks, Blackpool.
After dancing professionally in contracts both in the UK & abroad, Helen decided that her true passion lay in teaching. She is a fully qualified teacher with the IDTA & is Acrobatic Arts Certified.
Amy Robson
Amy is a professional soprano singer who studied at the university of Birmingham, after also being offered a choral scholarship at oxford university.
she currently performs in many amateur and professional productions both as a singer and in the orchestra, including performances at the London proms and royal albert hall.
she is a well accomplished singing teacher and works throughout the northeast, including preparing students for llcm musical theatre exams.
Rachael Bell
rACHAEL HAS SPENT THE MAJORITY OF HER LIFE AT ttss, attending since the age 8.
Rachael completed her foundation degree in musical theatre at newcastle college before completing her degree in drama at the university of sunderland.
when not working at ttss, rachael is a drama teacher at a local secondry school
Stacey trained at tyne theatre stage school from the age of 7. Since then Stacey has gone on to complete a BSc Sports Coaching Science degree and now works as pe teacher in secondry scholls throughout the north east. Stacey enjoys encouraging students to develop their technique and fitness to have a healthy and active lifestyle.
